Global Recycling Day on March 18 highlights the importance of recycling waste materials that would otherwise go to landfill; and sharing tips on how we, as a community, can recycle more. Caps and lids cannot go in your kerbside recycling bin, however in 2024 it became possible to recycle caps and lids at some supermarkets and stores. There are more than 55 drop-off locations across New Zealand, which collect nearly 10 tonnes of caps and lids every year!
